Mountain Biking in Park City, Utah
When settlers first came to Park City in search of silver and gold, they thought the riches were beneath the surface. After the mining boom, the town nearly became deserted, until the late 1960s when locals realized the real profits were on top of the mountains. Since then, Park City has hosted millions of skiers per year at its three world renowned resorts. While it is primarily a winter travel destination, recently the community has promoted summer activities, including mountain biking. Trail systems have been developed, mapped, upgraded, expanded and interconnected. There are now trails for all levels of riders and a great way to explore the surrounding mountains in the spring, summer, fall and sometimes winter.
The Mid-Mountain Trail extends from Deer Valley to the Canyons Resort and beyond. It is the main artery servicing a vast network of trails that can take you to high alpine lakes, thick pine forests, scenic vistas and even across town.
